The Planet Neptune is called the Blue Planet. It is a gaseous planet that looks like a blue-green ball in the Sky. The Bluish appearance of Neptune is partly due to the absorption of red light by the methane in its atmosphere and scientists also believe that there must be an unknown component in this planet that gives its vivid blue colour.
Neptune is the farthest planet from the Sun and has 13 Moons. It is also the windiest planet where atmospheric winds blow up to 2000 km/hr.
