What is Precipitation and Precipitation Cycle?

Precipitation is a phenomenon called when liquid or solid water particles from the atmosphere fall back to the surface of the Earth. The forms of precipitation include rain, hail, snow and sleet. The Degree of precipitation varies in the different geographic locations.

What is Precipitation Cycle?

Precipitation is a cyclic process that starts with the evaporation of water on the earth due to the Sun, the warm moist air due to evaporation reaches the atmosphere, and then the clouds of water droplets or ice are formed as a result of condensation. When these moisture-laden clouds become too heavy to be suspended in the atmosphere, it falls back to earth as a Prescription in form of rain or snow.
