The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), is a medical entrance test for medical schools in the United States, Canada, Australia and the Caribbean Islands. It is developed and administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges.
MCAT is a multiple-choice examination created to help medical school admissions offices assess your problem-solving, critical thinking, and knowledge of natural, behavioural, and social science concepts and principles prerequisite to the study of medicine.
Who can apply for MCAT?
You are eligible to sit for MCAT if you are planning to apply for the following programs in the aforementioned countries.
- M.D.-granting programs
- D.O.-granting programs
- Podiatric (D.P.M)
- Veterinary medicine (D.V.M)
- Any other health-related program that will accept MCAT exam results to satisfy a test score admissions requirement
