The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Exam (KVPY Exam) 2022 has been postponed due to the Covid-19 Surge in several states. Due to the rapid rise in Omicron cases throughout the country, the KVPY Exam 2022 has been put off until further notice.
KVPY 2022 exam was expected to be conducted on January 9, 2022. A notification available on the official website – kvpy.iisc.ac.in – states, “Due to the emerging unprecedented surge of COVID-19 cases, and the subsequent restrictions and weekend curfew in many states, the KVPY-Aptitude Test 2021 to be held on 9th January 2022, is postponed in the larger interest of the students. Please check KVPY website regularly for further updates.”
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a fellowship program run by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.
The objective of the program is to identify and nurture students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.
The details about the KVPY Fellowship program will be advertised in all the national dailies normally on Technology Day (May 11) and the Second Sunday of July every year.
