Union Minister for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Dr Jitendra Singh met with the Minister for Climate and Environment of Norway Mr Espen Barth Eide during the UN Ocean Conference in Lisbon, Portugal and discussed several issues of mutual interest.
Both the leaders expressed satisfaction over the progress made so far in the 5th India-Norway Task Force Meet. Both sides also had a dialogue and reviewed progress on issues like blue economy, integrated ocean management, marine pollution, green shipping and ocean-based renewable energy.
This bilateral meeting of two leaders meeting followed after the 5th India-Norway Task Force Meet in New Delhi last week on Blue Economy between Norwegian Ambassador to India, Hans Jacob Frydenlund and the Ministry of Earth Sciences Secretary Dr M. Ravichandran.
