Illinois Board of Admissions to the Bar administered the Illinois Uniform Bar Exam UBE) for two days. The Illinois Bar Exam consists of 3 Sections Multistate Performance Test (MPT), Multistate Essay Exam (MEE) for a weightage of 20% and 30% respectively and Multistate Bar Exam (MBE) for a weightage of 50%
The Final UBE Score is calculated on a 400-point scale on which a score of 266 or higher is needed to pass.

Illinois Bar Exam Result Release Dates
Illinois Bar Exam results are released approximately six weeks after the February exam and 8-10 weeks after the July exam.
Illinois Bar Reciprocity
Illinois Bar Reciprocity allows admission to the Bar without taking the Bar Exam. Attorneys must meet the following requirements for Illinois Bar Reciprocity.
- Attorneys must have practised for 3 out of the past 5 years immediately preceding their bar application.
- Attorneys must have a professional law degree from anĀ ABA approved law school.
- Attorneys must practice law a minimum of 500 hours annually, physically in Illinois.
