Giddha is the folk dance of which State?

Giddha is a popular folk dance of women in the Punjab state of India. In festivities, Women of Punjab put together this energetic Giddha dance that usually goes on with Rhythmic clapping, with a typical traditional folk song performed by elderly women in the background. The dance is derived from an ancient dance form called ring dance.

Through Giddha folk dance, women folks put on a great show of creativity, elegance and flexibility. Traditionally women wear salwar kameez and Ghagra in bright colours and jewellery to perform Giddha.
