Defense Research and Development organization of India (DRDO) has recently developed an automatic fire extinguishing system that can able to detect fire in buses in less and 30 and extinguish it completely in a minute. A live demonstration of system, Fire Detection and Suppression System (FDSS) by DRDO was given on 9-11-20, Monday at an event attended by Defense minister Rajnath Sigh and Road Transport minister Nitin Gadkari.
The FDSS will have a capacity to hold 80 litres of water and 6.8 kg of nitrogen.
