PM will attend Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Indore tomorrow

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi will be in Indore tomorrow 9th January 2023 to commemorate Pravasi Bharatiya Divas.  Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is celebrated every year on 9 January to mark the contribution of the overseas Indian community towards the development of India.

Joshimath in Uttarakhand is Declared Sinking Zone: PMO to hold high-level meeting on Joshimath

Joshimath has been declared a landslide-subsidence zone and over 60 families living in damaged houses in the sinking town have been evacuated to temporary relief centres. The local administration has set up relief centres at four-five places in the Himalayan town, Garhwal Commissioner Sushil Kumar said.

It has been assessed that nearly 610 of 4500 buildings have developed huge cracks, making them unfit for habitation. Temporary arrangements have been made by the district authorities to relocate the affected inhabitants.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal will visit Washington for 13th India-US Trade Policy Forum

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit the United States from January 9 to 11, 2023 to participate in the 13th India-US Trade Policy Forum (TPF)

Mr Goyal will participate in the delegation level talks of the India-US Trade Policy Forum that will be held on January 11 in Washington DC. Ahead of the meeting, he will interact with USTR (US Trade Representative) Ambassador Catherine Tai for a one-on-one engagement.
