The first India-Central Asia Culture Ministers’ meeting held
The first India-Central Asia Culture Ministers’ meeting was held through video conferencing on April 3 2023.
The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region Shri G. Kishan Reddy hosted the meeting and the Culture Ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan participated in the virtual meeting.
It has to be noted that the India-Central Asia Summit was hosted by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, on 27th January 2022 which emphasized promoting cultural cooperation for a better understanding of culture between the Central Asian countries and strengthen our age-old cultural linkages which bind our people together.
The first India-Central Asia Culture Ministers’ meeting followed the resolution of their Leaders to promote cultural cooperation for a better understanding of culture between the Central Asian countries and strengthen age-old cultural linkages of the region. The Ministers presented their perspective to take forward their leaders’ commitment to further strengthening of cultural cooperation in the region.
Diamond Jubilee of CBI Celebrated
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) hosted its Diamond Jubilee celebration. Prime minister of India Narendra Modi attended the celebration.
While Addressing the gathering, Modi said that “Corruption promotes nepotism and a dynastic system which erodes the nation’s strength, seriously hampering development”.
Modi asked all CBI officers to take action without hesitation against the corrupt and told them not to be deterred by the history of the power of the corrupt and the ecosystem created by them to tarnish the investigative agencies.
