1) National Education Day is celebrated every year on November 11 to mark the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad served as the first Education Minister of independent India from 1947 to 1958.
The theme of National Education Day 2022 is “Changing Course, Transforming Education”.

2) Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Anish Dayal Singh has been appointed as the new director general of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) was Founded in 1962. Its Headquarters is in New Delhi.

3) Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Sujoy Lal Thaosen has been appointed as the new director general of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was formed on 27 July 1939. Its Headquarters is in New Delhi.

4) The Karnataka Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Bill, 2022, has received the assent of Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot.
The Bill was passed a few days ago by the Karnataka State legislature.

5) Bank of Baroda (BOB) has launched “Khushiyon Ka Tyohaar” which includes a slew of offers as an annual festive campaign.

6) Airtel and Nokia have partnered to bring India’s first 5G-enabled immersive experience to visitors at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022.
This combines two new-age developments, ultra-fast network services and virtual tourism.

7) N S Rajan has been unanimously elected as the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI)’s Chairman of the Board of Governors.
The advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) was founded in 1985. Its Headquarters- Mumbai. The Secretary General of ASCI is Manisha Kapoor.

8) The Union Home Minister Amit Shah approved the release of Rs 488 crore as Central share of the State Disaster Mitigation Fund (SDMF) to three states — Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Goa for the year 2021-22.

11) India’s unemployment rate has drastically dropped to 6.43 per cent in September due to an increase in labour participation in the rural and urban areas, according to data from the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE).

12) Telangana government introduced the ‘Aasara’ pensions, with a view to ensuring secure life for all the poor.
It is a welfare scheme of pensions to old people, widows, physically disabled and beedi workers.

13) Srishti Bakshi, marketer-turned-women’s-rights-activist, has been honoured with the ‘Changemaker’ award at the UN SDG Action Awards for “confronting gender-based violence and advocating for safe access to public spaces”.
