CTET 2023: Central Teacher Eligibility Test is a national-level exam conducted by CBSE to select candidates for the teaching profession for classes 1 to 8. The test is conducted twice a year and is recognized by several schools across the country. The candidates passing the CTET Test will be provided with an eligibility certificate from which the candidates can able to apply for teaching jobs in government and private schools across India.
CTET Exam has two papers namely CTET Paper 1 & CTET Paper 2. Candidates interested in teaching students of Class 1 to 5 have to appear in CTET Paper 1 and those interested to teach students of classes 6 to 8 Should appear in CTET Paper 2
CBSE released CTET 2023 Notification on June 9 2023. The 17th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2023) will be conducted on 20 August 2023 through Pen and paper mode.

CTET 2023 Eligibility
Only eligible candidates can apply for the CTET 2023 in the online mode most probably from January 2023. Candidates who hold a B.Ed degree and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) are eligible to apply for the CTET exam 2023. The official notification for CTET exam will be released on its official website.

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2023
Those who have Indian citizenship are eligible to apply however the subjects of Nepal and Bhutan are also permitted to apply for the exam. Candidates must satisfy the below-mentioned eligibility criteria before applying for the CTET 2023.
CTET Age Limit
The minimum age limit for CTET exam is 18 years while there is no upper age limit for appearing in thus exam.
Educational Qualification for Classes I-V (Primary Stage)
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE Regulations, 2002 OR
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)* OR
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education
Educational Qualification for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE Regulations OR
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*
Note:
- A relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks will be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates.
- Candidates pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI) will be eligible for appearing in CTET.
CTET Application Form 2023
The candidates will be able to fill out and submit their CTET 2023 application form in online mode. The link to the application form will be made available on the official CTET website. The email id and phone number that the candidate enters for registration will be used for sending any alerts related to CTET 2023.
After this, the candidates will have to fill out the application form providing the rest of the details and a password for future applicant login.
A registration/ application number will be generated after successful registration which can be used with the generated password for future login.
The next step after filling of the application form will be uploading scanned images. The prescribed specification of the scanned images is given below:

The candidates are also required to submit a prescribed amount of examination fee to complete the application process.

In the end, the candidates will have to take a printout of the confirmation page and keep it safe for future reference.
In case the confirmation page is not generated after depositing the fees, the candidate should approach the Assistant Secretary of CTET Unit.
Copy of e-Challan must also be kept safe for record and future use.
There is no need to send the confirmation page or the copy of e-Challan to the CTET unit.

Note:
- The PH candidates may be given compensatory time of 50 minutes for each paper.
- Facility of scribe may be allowed to a person with a disability of 40% or more.
- The candidates may opt for their own scribe or may be provided by the Centre Superintendent upon request. Such a request must be made one day before the examination
- The candidates may take more than one scribe for writing different papers, especially for language.

CTET Admit Card 2023
Admit card is a mandatory document for appearing in the CTET exam 2023. One can download his/her admit card by visiting the official website of CTET exam. The date from when you can download your admit card will be intimated through the official website.
Crucial info about CTET Admit Card
- The admit card for CTET 2023 can be downloaded from the official website from the month of August tentatively.
- After downloading, the candidates must check for any discrepancy in the admit card and should inform the same to CTET authorities for correction.
- The candidates must appear for the exam at the centre specified in the admit card.
- Any candidate not in possession of a valid and correct admit card will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
CTET Result 2033
CTET 2023 result was released on March 3rd 2023 at https://ctet.nic.in.
- The result of the eligibility test will be declared online around 6 weeks after the test.
- Candidates scoring more than 60% marks on the test will be considered qualified.
- The CTET marks statement will be sent to the candidates by post.
- No request for re-checking of answers will be entertained.
- Furnishing inaccurate information may lead to the cancellation of the result.
CTET Eligibility Certificate
- The CTET eligibility certificate is valid for seven years from the date of issuance.
- The eligibility certificate will be sent to all the qualified candidates by speed post.
- A CTET qualified person can also appear again for improving the score.
- A candidate can get a duplicate copy of the marks statement or eligibility certificate by paying the fee of Rs. 235/-.
Applicability
The CTET qualified candidates can apply to the following schools:
- Central Government schools and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi
- Unaided private schools may also consider CTET
- Schools owned and managed by the State Government/ local bodies and aided schools
- Schools affiliated with the CBSE
CTET 2023 Cutoff (Expected)
Candidates who have acquired at least 60% marks in CTET exam are further permitted to appear for Government schools selection process. The CTET certificate is valid for 7 years from the day of announcement of the result. The expected cutoff of CTET 2023 is-

CTET 2023 Selection Procedure
Candidates will be selected based on their merit performance in CTET exam.
- The selection of candidates will be based on their merit in CTET exam.
- Candidates require a minimum 60% marks in CTET exam to qualify CTET exam.
- Candidates qualified in CTET Exam will be provided with CTET Eligiblity Certificate.
- CTET certificate is valid for 7 years from the date of issuance
- There is no attempt restriction for the CTET exam.
CTET Salary and Benefits After Qualifying
A CTET Qualified Teacher will get a salary between 35,000 to Rs. 45,000 including includes House Rent Allowance and other perks.
