CAT 2023: Eligibility, Exam Date, Admit Card

Common Aptitude Test, also known as the CAT exam is a common entrance examination in India for getting admission to the IIMs (Indian Institute of Management) and several other Top B-Schools in India for the Graduate level Business program. It is conducted yearly by one of the IIMs on a rotational basis.

The CAT 2023 Exam will be conducted on 26 November 2023 through online mode. Nearly 3.3 lakh candidates have registered for CAT 2023 which recorded the highest so far.

CAT is a computer-based test with questions from Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA), Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI), and Logical Reasoning (LR). The Total Duration of the CAT Exam is 2 hours.

Who can apply for CAT Exam?

Any Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks in the undergraduate from any recognized university in India can apply for CAT. Students in the final year of the graduate program can also apply for CAT Exam.

What is the validity of CAT Score?

The CAT score is valid only for the mentioned admission year of the CAT EXAM.

How to apply for CAT Exam?

If you wish to apply for CAT 2023 Examination. Below are a few mandatory steps to go ahead and complete the CAT registration.

  1. First Visit the official website at iimact.ac.in
  2. Now From the homepage, click on the Register tab if you are a new candidate, click Login if you are already registered.
  3. Enter all the required details in the registration form and Proceed
  4. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
  5. Enter the OTP to verify your mobile number.
  6. Upload all the required documents.
  7. Enter your academic qualifications.
  8. Enter your work experience.
  9.  Select the program you want to enrol in.
  10. Finally, Pay the application fee for CAT Registration and complete it.

Note: CAT 2023 Registration was closed on September 21, 2023. Interested those who could not apply for CAT 2023 can wait till next year to apply for CAT 2024

CAT 2023 Admit Card: How to Download

CAT 2023 Admit card will be released on the official website on 25th October 2023. When the Admit card is uploaded on the official website, applicants will be able to access it by the following steps.

Step 1: Visit the official website @ https://iimcat.ac.in/

Step 2: Login to the Portal via Registered Candidate login for CAT 2023

Step 3: Click and Download CAT 2023 Admit Card

Take a printout of your CAT 2023 Admit Card to carry to the examination hall.

CAT 2023 Scorecard Release Date 2023

On the CAT 2023 Results day, the Candidate’s CAT 2023 scorecards will be made accessible on the CAT website. The CAT Score may also be intimated individually to the Candidates by SMS. The CAT results are likely to be declared by the second week of January, 2024. The CAT 2023 score is valid only till December 31, 2024 and will accordingly be accessible on the website. Thereafter, no queries related to the issuance of CAT 2023 scorecards will be entertained.
