The union cabinet on Wednesday has agreed to introduce a bill to repeal three farm laws that come up for discussion in the winter session of Loksabha, 2021
The government has listed the Farm law repeal bill, 2021 in the parliament affairs of Loksabha that is to be taken for a discussion in the winter session of Lok sabha.
The Farm Laws Repeal Bill, 2021 seeks to house of parliament’s approval to repeal the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of price Assurance, Farm Services Act 2021, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act 2020
Prime minister Narendra Modi had earlier this month announced that the government will scrap the three farm laws after failing to convince the farmers.
The Government’s decision to scrap Farm Laws, 2020 has come almost after year-long protests by farmers camped in New Delhi and many parts of India.
